records that Eli was the son of Mary Edge of Tockholes, weaver (no father's
name is given). I believe that the father was Oliver Duxbury - see Eli's
marriage certificate.
Mary Crane was a widow when she married Eli Duxbury. She is believed to have kept a Pub in Darwen at the time of her marriage. Her fitsy husband might have been a Licencee
