Moses was possibly in ill health at the time of the 1901 Census, as he was 60 yrs old and there is a recorded death for a Moses Duxbury, age 62 yrs, in March qtr 1902, Blackburn district, (GRO) Vol 8e, Page 298. Unconfirmed if this relates to the same Moses Duxbury.

Margaret Duxbury married Robert Kenyon on 5th November 1859 at St. James Church, Over Darwen (page 60). Margaret’s address is shown only as Hoddlesden and her father is shown as Thomas Duxbury (farmer).
Margaret could not read or write at the time of her marriage as she has signed the marriage certificate with her mark. If the 1881 Census information is correct Margaret would have been 19 years old when she married.
Margaret Kenyon (nee Duxbury) is shown as the mother of James Ormerod Kenyon who was born on 14th October 1871 (page 75). The address shown on James’s birth certificate is 17 Gordon Street, Over Darwen.
Address (1881 Census) 17 Exchange Street, Over Darwen (page 63)
Age 40 yrs, married.
Margaret’s youngest son George Sutcliffe Kenyon died in May 1885, aged 5 years, of Tubercular Meningitis (page 64). It is unknown if other family members succumbed to this disease. The address at the time of his death was 28 Exchange Street, Over Darwen.
At her son James Ormerod Kenyon’s marriage in December 1893 the address is shown as 39 Exchange Street, Over Darwen, although as mothers were not named on marriage certificates, unconfirmed if Margaret was still alive at the time of his marriage.
1901 Census – no information, no longer any Kenyon’s living at 39 Exchange Street Darwen. There is a recorded death of Margaret Kenyon, age 58 yrs, in September 1898. Unconfirmed if this is the same Margaret Kenyon.
Robert Kenyon and Margaret Duxbury appear to have had at least nine children. James O Kenyon was the fifth child according to 1881 census, although other children may have married or left home at the time of the census.
